I first obtained a licence in 1973 and drove for about three years. When I returned to driving, in 2009, I found that I was very unfamiliar, both with driving a car and with negotiating the traffic on Sydney's roads. As a result, I was very nervous about attempting to drive again.

He gave me a lesson before the test, accompanied me to the RTA centre and waited for me as I took the test and drove me home afterwards. I found that incredibly reassuring.
