Getting a driver’s licence in 50 or 120 hours is the bare minimum required to get a provisional licence. An Australian research study shows that new drivers need a minimum of 120 hours to be safe on the roads. A similar study in Europe with 4000 learner drivers shows a figure of around 180 hours. These figures reflect only hours of practice needed to drive on the roads and does not reflect the hours needed to become a safe and competent driver. The first 3-5 years are the most crucial in that it is in this time that drivers build life long safe driving skills and this course is designed to help achieve this objective. We encourage young drivers to practice and adopt safe and low risk driving techniques. The aim of creating Life Long Safe Driving Skills is to improve the skill and safety of your driving so that you can make the best use of road and traffic conditions, the ability to control the position and speed of your vehicle relative to everything else on the road. Creating Life Long Safe Driving Skills aims to help you improve your skills by increasing your awareness of the range of factors that affect your driving.

This course is specially designed to teach basic safe driving skills on the road. It will focus on the basics of safe driving and include aspects of hazards detection and response, road sense, low risk driving and scanning techniques. Price: $195 (3 hours).

The Intermediate course is ideal for drivers who have had some form of previous experience on the roads. It will focus on aspects of speed and safety, monitoring traffic hazards, identification of hazards associated with particular traffic mixes and developing hazard awareness. Course B is taught in both day and night sessions. Price: $195 (3 hours).

Most fatal accidents happen on the highway and freeway. This course is designed to help avoid such accidents. It will include such areas as: excessive vehicle speed and loss of vehicle control, high demands on concentration and sources of distraction, awareness of hazards arising from speed & volume of traffic and adapting to higher speed. Price: $420 (6.5 hours including break and 5.5. hours signed logbook).

This course is specially designed to prepare Learner Drivers for their Driving Test. It will cover test areas, easy methods of reverse parking and three point turns and will be focused on perfecting all aspects judged in the new driving test. Price: $195 (3 hours).
